Publications

For those who work in academic world, publications are a sort of "business card" for obtaining visibility and make other know. As "publication" is meant, in this case, the scientific papers, published in journals, books or on proceedings of national and international conferences. When someone wants to have information about the research of a Ph.D student, a researcher or a professor, one good way is to read his papers, paying attention also to details such as their number (although a big number of papers does not mean a deep research), where they have been published and, above all, how frequently his papers are cited by others.
