Wogen 0.2: more word and sentence generators
05-08-2011 13:32I introduced Wogen, my random words and sentences generator, in a previous post. Since then, I improved Wogen and now it is able to learn the read a list of words, or a set of sentences, learn their structure and generate other words or sentences that are “similar” to the initial input. For those who are interested, the method that I used is a simple application of Markov Chains, very common in this kind of applications.
From the following menus, you can select the type of generator (words/names or sentences), the very generator (when you select one of them, a short description will show up in the yellow frame) and a number that determines how much the generated words are similar to the those in the initial input (for example, for the pseudo-Italian name generator, the higher the number, the more similar are the names to real Italian names).
Wogen is still in a beta stage. This version is better than the previous one and contains more generators. However, something in the generation rules should be changed and, finally, I am completely unsatisfied of the sentence generators (there must be a support for the punctuation, for example). I am open to all opinions and advices that you can give (below).
