American DaysI just come back from a trip in USA and Canada. I was there to partecipate to the RoboCup in Atlanta, then I went through America (New York, Niagara Falls and Montreal). The RoboCup went pretty well, we got the third place in the RoboCupRescue Virtual Robots league. The rest of the trip lead us to some of the most beautiful in America, IMHO. Niagara Falls are something unique and impossible to describe, though the first time I was there I thought "only this?", it has been sufficient to get nearer to understand that this natural show is worth seeing again and again. Also Montreal is very beautiful and full of life. I don't know if it is just by chance, but in the two days in which we were there, we saw festivals, celebration of all sorts. It seems that Montreal is one of the most livable city in the world and the faces of its inhabitants seems to prove that. Lastly, New York is a huge, beautiful, interesting, to be understood and to be lived. The first impression entering Manhattan is to enter one of the movies that took place there. The 5th Avenue, Wall Street, the Empire State Building, Chinatown, the Brooklyn Bridge: all places seen only in photos or movies.
